For the second year in a row, there was a friendly competition between colleagues from Mercy Health Muskegon and Mercy Health Saint Mary’s.
During National Patient Safety Week, March 10–16, colleagues submitted their entries outlining what they do to meet various National Patient Safety Goals. All Mercy Health colleagues across West Michigan were invited to participate. The team with the highest percentage of submissions would receive the trophy for the next year.
The first-place winners for 2019 are the 24-person team members from 3 Lacks, the Senior Adult Unit, in Grand Rapids. Second place went to Mercy Health Muskegon’s Intensive Care Unit.
Interim Chief Medical Officer Matt Biersack, MD, Mercy Health Saint Mary’s, presented the 2019 award to the first-place winners on Monday, June 3.
Congratulations to all who participated in this friendly competition and to those who make patient safety their top priority every day.
