Mercy Health Muskegon Announces Chief Nursing Officer

Linda Dunmore, RN, MSN, chosen to fill role

Muskegon, Mich. (October 1, 2021) – After an extensive nationwide search, Mercy Health Muskegon is pleased to announce Linda Dunmore, RN, MSN, as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). She has served in an expanded role since May 2021, as both senior director of Clinical Services and interim CNO.

“Linda is a trusted and respected leader, with a long tenure at Mercy Health Muskegon and her leadership style really resonates with our staff,” said Gary Allore, president of Mercy Health Muskegon. “Linda demonstrates passion for our Mission, and her experience in both the clinical and administration settings is vital to the ongoing, transformational work taking place in Muskegon. We are thrilled to have her.”

A nurse by trade, Dunmore has been with Mercy Health Muskegon for 32 years – 20 of which have been in clinical leadership roles. She acquired her passion for nursing quality and patient safety from her work in long term care, with most of her bedside experience gained in the Intensive Care Unit.

Dunmore holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Detroit Mercy and a master’s degree from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She maintains several professional certifications and obtained her green belt in Lean Six Sigma from the University of Michigan.

She will continue to provide oversight to her current teams while Mercy Health Muskegon seeks to fill her previous role.
